KACEY + RANDY ARE HAVING A WEDDING
It’s time to celebrate.
We are so thankful to everyone who will be celebrating with us on June 25, whether you will be with us in Wilmington or toasting us from afar. Your love and support helped make us who we are, and we are forever grateful.
All the details you need to know for the big day are below. Cheers!
Friday + Saturday.
-
JUNE 24: WELCOME SOIREE
6:00 - 9:00 PM
Flytrap Brewery
319 Walnut St, Wilmington, NC | 910-769-2881Come join us for the party before the party at one of our favorite local breweries! Drinks are on us, and everyone is invited, including kids — the more the merrier. Stop by for a brew (or a few!), and then go enjoy Wilmington for the evening! There will be live music and a food truck on-site if you’d like to eat there too. There’s also plenty of street parking available, and it’s about a 6-8 minute walk from the downtown hotels.
Attire: Casual (we’ll be mostly outdoors, so dress accordingly!) -
JUNE 25: THE WEDDING
5:00 - 10:00 PM
Brooklyn Arts Center
516 N 4th St, Wilmington, NC | 910-859-4615The VOWS (aka ceremony) + the PARTY (aka reception) will be one heck of a good time! The ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM sharp, so please arrive early. We’ll have plenty of bubbles for you to sip on! The venue is an 8 minute walk from the downtown hotels, or a 2 minute drive. There’s plenty of free parking on the street or a free lot one block east of the venue on Campbell St. There will also be two shuttles from the Marriott Courtyard starting at 4:30 PM.
After the wedding, the party will continue at the Goat and Compass bar across the street.
Attire: What you want to celebrate in! Cocktail attire is safe, but feel free to dress it up or down, too!
The Key Details.
We know this is quite the getaway for almost everyone attending, and we thank you all for making the trek to celebrate with us. We’ve tried to keep everything as easy as possible for when you arrive.
Attire
Attire for the Welcome Soiree on Friday is casual and comfortable. We’ll be outside, so dress accordingly. For the wedding on Saturday, cocktail attire is perfect — but we’re flexible. Feel free to dress it up or dress it down. Wear what you want to look fab. Saturday will be indoors with AC the entire time.
Reception Dinner
We’ll be doing things a little differently. Rather than a formal sit-down dinner after the cocktail hour, we’ll have food stations showcasing local cuisine, including a carving station, a North Carolina BBQ-style station, and a taco station. Don’t worry, there will be gluten-free, vegetarian, and kiddo-friendly options available, too. There will be plenty of tables and seating but no assigned seats — so when the food comes out, mix and mingle, sit where you want, sit at different ables, try all the options, and go dance in between!
Wedding Parking & Transportation
There is plenty of free street parking around the venue, and a free parking lot one block from it. There will also be shuttles running to and from the venue from the Courtyard Wilmington Downtown hotel. The shuttles will bring guests to the wedding starting at 4:30 PM and do two runs. The shuttle will bring guests back to the hotel from the wedding start at 10:00 PM and do two runs.
Car Rental vs. Uber/Lyft
There’s no need to rent a car if you plan on staying in the downtown Wilmington area. The venue is about 0.4 miles from the downtown hotels, so it’s less than a ten-minute walk. Same is true of most of the places to explore near the hotels, and there are plenty of Ubers and Lyfts. If you’re staying in Wrightsville, we recommend renting a car. It’s a short drive from downtown Wilmington. And, if you want to explore the area beyond Wilmington/Wrightsville, then we definitely recommend renting a car, as there’s little-to-no public transportation options.
Kiddos
Are kids welcome? YES! They are invited to both the Welcome Soiree and the Vows + Party. At the wedding, we will have a room for kids (think games, coloring books, and play-doh, along with tables for adults) as well as kid-friendly meal options. We will also have babysitters to stay with the kids in the kids room and stay with babies in a separate, private, quiet room if the babies need to sleep. There are also private places to pump and nurse as/if needed — just ask any of the staff and they’ll bring you to the right spot.
